Tomorrow, August 25, is the day we’ve all been waiting for – the first day of school!
Our schools are ready, and our staff is excited to welcome students back tomorrow, August 25, for the first day of school.
Thank you to all our staff who worked tirelessly over the past two weeks to prepare for tomorrow. We are very #HighlandProud to have such a great team at the School Town of Highland working together to provide an incredible learning environment for our students.
Here are a few quick reminders:

Every school will have Domino’s Pizza available for lunch tomorrow! Normal lunch meal prices apply.
All our schools have back-to-school nights this week. Elementary back-to-school night is TONIGHT, August 24; HMS is Wednesday, August 26; HHS is Thursday, August 27. Please see our website for more scheduling information: https://www.highland.k12.in.us/article/3055500
Also, since it’s been a while, here are our arrival and dismissal times for each school:
Highland High School’s doors open at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast, and classes start promptly at 7:30 a.m. Dismissal is at 2:40 p.m.
Highland Middle School’s doors open for breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and classes start promptly at 8:25 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:20 p.m.
All elementary schools’ doors open for breakfast at 7:20 a.m., with students NOT eating breakfast being let in at 7:35 a.m. Classes start at 7:50 a.m. – students should be in their seats and ready to learn! Dismissal is at 2:20 p.m.
