Mr. Spottiswood: "He simply epitomizes what makes not only a solid educator, but a sound role model to his students as well as any he interact with on a daily basis. Passion in the classroom, constant thought to what’s best for his students, helping any and all students in the hallways as needed…basically just a normal day for him. Early on as we are this year, having someone like this that students can rely on is pivotal to a successful school year."

She is a teacher to be proud of having at Highland!"

Miss Carlassare: "I genuinely can’t think of a teacher who puts in more care and effort than Miss Carlassare. She tries her hardest to make her classes fun and engaging whilst making sure that the students are learning something new and useful. Miss Carlassare was chosen to be the advisor for the HHS DECA chapter for a reason; she does a great job at teaching and she’s more than capable enough of helping run a club. Because of efforts of Miss Carlassare, DECA has so much potential to be the next great big thing at Highland High School and things seem to be only going uphill. When asked which teacher goes above and beyond, one name truly comes to mind, and it’s Miss Carlassare!"
Mr. Glenn: "He has volunteered to help a new staff member ease into his new position. He has gone above and beyond to help usher in success for this man and ease the stress of unchartered territory. Never once has he complained, just continues to be of service to this individual. You won't meet a more giving person than Mr. Glenn."
Mrs. Olah: "Her work with the Key Club to provide school supplies to teachers was amazing!"

Mr. Vasquez: "Even though he is new to our staff this year, he is already an IT pro! He has fixed numerous issues and answered tons of questions for us all already. He even checks in every few days to follow up on tech issues and questions, and he's just a friendly person. He's a great addition to STOH and the HHS staff!"

Mrs. DeJesus: "She has taken on a new position while training her old position, all the while tending to both students and parents. She has handled it all with grace and professionalism."
