The Reality Store is a game based on real life situations of an average 28 year old. The game was started, and sponsored, by the Business Professional Women’s Association. The students will draw from a hat to decide their occupation, marital status, and number of children. The students will go to different tables to experience a variety of real life situations. Some of the situations are: paying taxes, buying clothing, paying utility bills, deciding on housing, donating to charities, buying insurance, and deciding on transportation. The students usually are most excited about the “Unexpected Events” table. At this table, students were confronted with a variety of situations, such as paying for a broken window or receiving money as a birthday gift. If you are interested in volunteering to help work please contact Mrs. Vis, Ms. Mavity, or PTO. Thanks!
